How a camera changed my life (cont.)

After a few years of faking it till I made it, I became a pastor (wild I know) and when all of that fell apart I became a firefighter. Similar mission, different practicum, and I felt like I was still helping "save" humanity in some way. There was a pedestal I stood on as I helped reach the people below and my ego got in the way of every encounter I had.

My faith in humanity fell to a dangerously low level due to the fact that I was not apart of humanity, I felt like I was above it. When I started seeing people through the lens of a camera, I remembered the beauty I once saw. Every face, every oddity, every smile told something different. It sparked my interest in getting to experience life with people again.

For the following year I took my camera everywhere. I shot as much as I could to get a grip on this new passion of mine. That carried me into a path I would have never guessed. I took the leap of faith to pursue this full time and the life it opened for me has been exactly what I needed.

I am a mosaic of all that I have been and that is why I love what I get to do. I want other people to see the beauty in all that they are. My mission is to help showcase your business, your adventure, or your story of overcoming in a way that inspires people not because it looks perfectly put together, but because it looks real.
